See the whole world with Camera Story

Camera Story believes photography connects people and cultures. Learning to create positive imagery is essential for healthy communication and building genuine relationships. This has inspired us to devise artistic and educational photographic workshops that help navigate the contemporary landscape of image based communication, both online and in print.

Photography is the universal language of connection however we are failing to harness the full potential of image making to positively communicate with one another. We have greater access to online communications platforms but the experience of true community seems to be diminishing. The abundance of unconsidered photographic imagery on social media weakens the capacity for this platform to be a place of meaning and cultural understanding.

A Camera Story photography workshop not only shows you how to use a manual camera to take great imagery but explores these contemporary issues compassionately and creatively.

We are a not for profit organisation based in Perth, Western Australia who exists for the purpose of promoting photography as an artistic, vocational, communication and educational tool. Our team run culture based photography workshops for schools, galleries, community groups and regional centres to teach manual camera skills, vocational photography skills, story-telling and image based media skills.
