Camera Story - using photography to empower those living in under resourced and vulnerable areas and connecting communities the world over.

Camera Story was born of the desire to connect people and communities the world over through photography.

Today, the photographic image is our most influential tool of communication. To understand images and to clearly narrate through them is fundamental to contemporary communication practice and global thought exchange.

Harnessing the huge potential in image making to change world and lives, we encourage people to explore the camera and utilise the power of the photographic image to communicate clearly, creatively and compassionately .

We do this through specially designed educational tools that have been built from our experience working with communities both in Australia and overseas.

Camera Story workshops range from a few hours to an entire school semester and teach vocational camera skills, considered creative expression, responsible image making, visual literacy and story telling skills.

Outcomes of a Camera Story workshop range from simply creating a small set of expressive images; to images ready for publication on the web, social media or print; exhibition grade photography; or documentary images fit for display or archival purposes.
