Camera Story in collaboration with the City of Melville is offering personalised (and heavily discounted) studio portrait sessions to create the kind of headshot you need to shape and elevate your personal brand.
Located in a comfortable and relaxed environment, each portrait session will be carefully considered and artists will have the opportunity to discuss their look and feel for the session.
Individual will spend up to 30 minutes with the CS team allowing ample time to capture a unique selection of headshots.
PORTRAIT PREPARATION
We understand that very few people enjoy having their portrait taken - so when you do, you want to feel your best. We would advise coming along to the session dressed to impress, yet feeling calm, clear and comfortable - this will shine through in the photograph. We understand that comfort is the key to a striking portrait and that is how we run our portrait sessions.
Solid colours are best and we would suggest avoiding loud patterns or large branding. If you’re in doubt, bring along a couple of options and we are more than happy to help you make the decision on the day. Keep it simple! You don’t want to be too overwhelmed.
Photographs will be taken in our Camera Story Satellite Studio. These indoor photo-shoots will use studio lighting, with a choice of black or white backdrops, so you can look your best. Check out our Headshots page for examples of past shoots.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session to avoid running late. We will be sticking to a schedule and we don’t want to make others have to wait for us.

Usually we charge $220 for a basic headshot session. However, in a view to supporting the artists of the City of Melville, we will only be charging $75 per person. This includes a personalised 30 minutes photography session and 1 x lightly retouched image, in both colour and black and white.
A contact sheet of a selection of images from the photoshoot will be sent to you after the shoot. If you wish to choose more images, these will be charged at an additional cost of $60 per image, including retouching. Images will be digital and sent via a secure dropbox link. High and low res files will be provided of the purchased images. High res files are suitable for print whilst low res files work well on online platforms such as social media and LinkedIn.
